Halloween Goodness...

We definately had some Halloween goodness this year! The girls wore their costumes 5 different times... not bad especially because we already had them. They dressed up for dances class, the MBA family party, school, the ward trunk or treat, and finally for trick or treating.

It's about dang time...

Times flies when your having fun... what? I always go 5 months between posts! So here are some pictures from the last few months (back in Utah-land): Katie on her sweet new PINK radio flyer tricycle. So retro, so awesome. She got it for her birthday.

No matter how many times I look at this picture, it just puts a big grin on my face. The look on Katie's face is priceless. Not bad for a self portrait... Kenric & Lucy were in the water and I was holding up the camera and tickling Katie at the same time.

My Rockin' Hubby & Me...

Just in case you were wondering... I love this guy! Isn't he a cutie? Just to illustrate my point, he took the girlies for a drive AROUND the island today and made stops for them to run around, and had a picnic lunch... All this just so I could sleep in and have a lounge-y, peaceful Sunday morning. What a helper!

Where does she come up with it??

Many times a day I ask myself "Where does she come up with this stuff?" Wow, would be my response to this little performance she put on for us tonight on the north shore as we enjoyed a Sunday sunset...

Back in Hawaii...

What, we always live in Hawaii... Okay not really, but this is our second time around-- short term. The short version of the story is that Kenric got a last minute internship with President Wheelright at BYU-Hawaii for six weeks. We've been out here in Laie for 2 weeks and have been having a great time. We're practically locals (kidding again... our skin is bright white still!)

Pumpkin-land

So what would Halloween be without a little pumpking carving action? On Wednesday night we all joined in the fun. I scooped out the the pumpkin with some help from the girls (Kenric allegedly gets nauseated from raw pumkin guts) and Kenric traced and carved out a ghost design. We put a led candle-light in it and promptly displayed it on our porch... hopefully we'll remember to take it down some day before a squirrel gets to it!

Fall Fun (part 2)

Fall Fun

Okay, for anyone who knows me just a wee bit, you know I'm a huge wuss when it comes to cold temperatures... which it's definately getting colder! But, given this, I still love fall just like everyone with normal thermostats! The colors, sweaters, leaves, chili (I made my own from scratch for the first time!), pumpkin bread, the whole package! I didn't even mind running when it was in the 30's a few weeks ago (don't quote me on that one though). So here are some pics from our Fall so far... (And no, I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the underline) Lucy & Katie being pulled (by me) in a wagon through the corn maze... which actually wasn't a maze at I- at least I didn't think so. More of a "corn path".

Katie's car

Thank you Grandma Russell for Katie's Target gift card- she picked out the perfect toy! The day after her birthday (yes, we went to Target with a bashed eye), I took the girls to Target so Katie could spend her gift card from her Grandma Russell in Virginia. Katie picked out several things: baby doll, barbie stuff, stroller... but then she found something just her style- an adorable retro wooden car. I showed it to her and told her she could put her "baby bo" in it (baby bo is what she calls her little purple care bear with antlers that she got for Christmas 2 years ago and is inseparable from it). That made the choice easy. She had to have it. The thing weighs like 10 pounds because it was built like they used to make toys- super sturdy. So the moral of the story is that she takes her car everywhere with her. It is hilarious. She sleeps with it, and carries it up and down the stairs all day, even though it's half her body weight. Here are some cute pics of the car in it's daily routine... Thanks Grandma!

Katie Turned TWO!

So Here is her "Purple" cake that she requested. I did it the easy way (bought a white bakery cake, sprayed it with purple cake spray paint, put lots of purple sugar sprinkles on it and some Dora cake toppers. Yeah, I could have made it, but I love Bakery Cakes! I don't know what it is, but there is something magical about loads of crisco and sugar and maybe just a hint of somesort of unknown addictive ingredient...

Cutie Pa-tutie! It's so crazy how much they change. Remember when Katie had brown hair? And now she has blonde pigtails (and a sweet mullet before she gets her hair done!). Katie is such a love. She has a sassy personality and makes sure that we know that everything is "mine". She has calls Lucy "Doody". Tells me to "Go Mom" at all the red lights in town. And woke up every morning and would even say in her sleep "Baby Poo" which meant the baby pool at 7 peaks (which we went to a lot).

I cannot believe that my baby turned two on Monday! (I think she accidently still thinks she's a baby since she still wants me to carry her all around the house). Time flies when your having fun! Two years ago I was in Queen's Hospital in Honolulu and now I'm in good ole' Provo going to Cafe Rio and Super Target.
