The BYU Bean Museum... I guess the pictures do all of the talking. Kenric & I took the girls to the Bean Museum on Martin Luther King Jr. day, a few Mondays ago. It was fun to get to hang out as a family, as K-dawg is at school for the most part these days. We hit the Bean, then In & Out (for my semi-annual burger), and finally Toys are Us. I know, such fun parents right? At least for a few minutes.
So back to the Bean... I have to admit, the first time I ever went it was a a little freaky. The whole place is full of animals, who used to be alive, and still look alive, but are somehow magically preserved so kids and their families can come check them out. It is a large two-story building and the animals range from tiny insects, to Bears, Elephants, and Rhinos. So here we are:

Holiday Party & more...
Sooo... if you are ever thinking about doing a little grocery shopping on a Saturday evening before you and husband are going on a date... AND you're leaving your kids to watch a movie, while your husband is asleep... you might want to think twice. Yesterday afternoon, I needed to make a quick trip to the store and Kenric was taking a nap, recovering from a late night road trip from the night before. The girls were happily watching a Scooby-Doo movie on Netflix and said they'd rather watch that than go to the store with me. I knew I'd only be gone for a bit, so I said "okay, just wake up Dad when the show is over". Apparently they forgot the part about waking up Dad, and decided they needed to take snack time into their own hands...
When I walk in the door, Lucy said excitedly "Mom, you have to come check out our feast! They had emptied the cupboards of their favorite treats and had pile their plates high of everything that you can imagine.
Club crackers, Doritos, yogurt covered raisins, cake sprinkles, nerds, shortbread cookies, chocolate gold fish... am I missing anything?
We got everything cleaned up (for the most part), Kenric did wake up and we got to go on a fun date. The annual MBA holiday party, where you dress up, eat yummy food and this year we got to watch a performance by Stephen Jones... a super funny comedian. I was a little bummed that I had already seen some of his material on YouTube... come on Stephen, lets get some new material.
And this my friends is the Crack Face. Yes, so entertaining for so many reasons. If you haven't tried it already, you really need too. You will laugh every time... In a future post, maybe I can do one of just Crack Faces.

More San Diego Fun...
Christmas Vacation...
We spent Christmas break this year in San Diego (I guess technically it was last year). My cute, adorable husband thought that I should fly down since I'm pregnant, and that he would have a daddy-daughter road trip to our destination. I know, right? What a guy! We had a relaxing time, mostly just hanging out with the fam, sprinkled with Wahoo's, the park, and friends. I'm not ready to go back to real life in Provo-land. Actually, I am because I will have 3 cuties waiting for me there... Kenric and the girls left earlier today and I miss them already!
