Thanksgiving 2011

My cute mom was here for the week and a half before Thanksgiving. We enjoyed every minute of our Grandma/Mom time! My dad and youngest Sister Kylie then joined us for Thanksgiving weekend. It was great to have them all here. We went up to San Francisco to see the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf on Black Friday (obviously after a Target trip in the morning). Halloween 2011

Tonight is Friday and Kenric went on a double daddy-daughter date. Benson went to bed early. Lucky me. I was thinking of all the things that I could do around the house, that I never seem to have the time to do. Surprise the girls by cleaning their room that looks like a tornado blew through? Surprise Kenric by cleaning our tornado-ish room? Deep clean a bathroom? Then I decided that tonight was going to be all about me... sitting in silence, on the couch, drinking a strawberry smoothie... and blogging. So to backtrack a bit, here are some fun pictures from Halloween. Yes, 3 1/2 months ago.

A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We hit a cute little pumpkin patch this last Saturday... the whole Family! It was Kenric's and Benson's first pumpkin patch. One of the many great things about living in the Bay area is that the weather in October rocks! It has been in the 70's & 80's. I'm excited that we won't freeze while trick-or-treating this year!

Where does the time go??

So today I wondered how in the world it is already October... Time is going by so fast! Can somebody please slow down the clock, and for heaven's sake, tell my kids to quit growing up to fast! Here is a random assortment of pictures taken in the last month or two.

The tree fort that Kenric made the girls one Saturday. We have a lack of large trees in our yard, so this is as big as it could get... they loved it!

I guess this is sort of inevitable when you have two big sisters.

Katie turned 4!

It's official... Katie turned 4 last week! We went to a kid amusement park, Wahoo's (she ate french fries and root beer... Which was allowable since birthdays are only once a year), had a rainbow birthday cake and she got a sweet My Little Pony ferris wheel and car.

Lucy's First day of 1st Grade!

I can't believe school is already here! The summer flew by so fast! Lucy started 1st grade today at her new school. I know she'll do great and make friends in a snap... She's so fun and kind, really, who wouldn't want to be friends with her?

Working Out & Blogging...

I have this bad, bad habit of checking all my friends blogs, but never updating my own. I always think "when I have more time..." Well guess what world: I don't really think there is some huge lump of time waiting for me somewhere. So I thought maybe I could kill two birds with one stone and blog from my beloved elliptical. Lets see if I can type while bouncing back into shape and blasting Pandora...
